What is BeardedSpice?

BeardedSpice is a lightweight macOS application that seamlessly integrates popular web-based media platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Pandora, Google Play Music and more with the media keys found on most Mac keyboards and Apple Remotes.

It runs silently in the background and translates the media key presses into actions within each web player such as play, pause, next track etc. This allows you to control your music from the keyboard without having to switch apps or windows.

BeardedSpice supports controlling multiple web players simultaneously and features user-configurable options for customizing which players are active and how they behave. It also includes robust plugin support for adding new web services with just a little JavaScript coding.

As an open-source program, BeardedSpice is completely free to use and the source code is available on GitHub for anyone to view, modify, or enhance. It's designed to seamlessly and unintrusively integrate web media into the classic Mac media control experience.
