What is Chromodo Web Browser?

Chromodo is a free, open source web browser based on the Chromium open source project. It was created by a non-profit organization with the goal of providing an enhanced browsing experience focused on user privacy and control.

Like Chromium, Chromodo uses the Blink rendering engine and shares much of Chromium's base code. However, Chromodo strips out all proprietary Google services and defaults to more private settings. For example, it disables features like telemetry data collection, predictive browsing, password leaking, and automatic URL hyperlink prefetching.

In their place, Chromodo offers enhanced privacy configurations, a customizable start page, and support for extensions that respect user privacy. Popular ad blocking, tracking protection, and HTTPS everywhere extensions come pre-installed. Users can easily toggle between configurations suited for general browsing, banking, shopping, or high privacy.
