What is DropMock?
DropMock is a flexible mock API and fake user data tool designed for developers and testers who need to create simulated API responses or generate fake user data for development and testing environments. It allows you to quickly mock REST APIs and GraphQL schemas without having to code custom mock servers.
With DropMock, you can set up a mock REST API with configurable endpoints, HTTP methods, response codes, headers, response latency, and response bodies. It supports JSON and XML response formats. You can create multiple configurable endpoints with different response configurations. DropMock also provides a graphical interface to create fake user data such as names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, and more based on rules and data patterns.
Some key benefits of DropMock include:
- Quickly create simulated REST APIs without coding custom mocks
- Mock GraphQL schemas and queries with configurable responses
- Generate fake but realistic user data for testing applications
- Collaborate within a team using shared mock projects
- Use pre-built templates for common APIs like JSONPlaceholder, JSON Server, etc.
- Import existing Postman collections as starting points
- Flexible configuration of headers, response codes, latency, etc.
- Hosted cloud service as well as self-hosted option available
DropMock speeds up API mocking and fake data generation for testing frontends and backends. Its flexibility makes it useful for individual developers as well as teams needing to collaborate on mock services.
