What is Ender Lilies?

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a Metroidvania 2D action RPG video game developed by Live Wire and published by Binary Haze Interactive. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and iOS in 2021.

In the game, you play as a mysterious girl who awakes in a ruined kingdom overrun by corrupted creatures known as the Lost. With the help of benevolent spirits called Lily, you must explore the fallen Land's End, uncover the tragic events that led to its downfall, cleanse the blighted beasts, and defeat those responsible for the destruction.

Gameplay involves hack-and-slash 2D combat against swarms of enemies, with an emphasis on dodging and counterattacking. As you progress, you gain new movement abilities that allow you to access previously unreachable areas in classic Metroidvania fashion. You also acquire magic from defeated bosses, expanding your arsenal of skills.

The gothic pixel art style, with its high-contrast chiaroscuro visuals, complements the dark yet somber setting. The soundtrack by Mili blends orchestral and choral melodies for a poignant audio experience.
