What is Heroes of Umbra?

Heroes of Umbra is a free-to-play online multiplayer game developed and published by Cryolian Entertainment. Released in 2018, Heroes of Umbra falls into the action RPG genre and features skill-based, hack-and-slash combat.

In Heroes of Umbra, players assemble a party of up to four heroes, each with unique abilities, to battle waves of enemies in instanced dungeons. There is a large roster of heroes to unlock, covering classes like Fighters, Mages, Rangers, and Supports. Players must dodge enemy attacks while managing skill cooldowns and resource meters to defeat their foes.

The game features a nonlinear progression system with no set classes. Heroes gain experience from combat, allowing players to unlock new abilities and passives across three upgradeable skill trees unique to each hero. Players can further customize their hero builds with equipable loot like weapons and armor sets dropped by enemies.
