Humankind: Historical Turn-Based Strategy Game

Discover Humankind, a historical turn-based strategy game by Amplitude Studios and Sega, where you guide a civilization across history in competition against other civilizations.

What is HUMANKIND?

Humankind is a 4X turn-based strategy game developed by Amplitude Studios and published by Sega. In Humankind, players guide a civilization across six different historical eras, starting in the Ancient era and progressing to the Contemporary era.

Matches take place on procedurally generated maps where players build cities, exploit terrain, research technologies, wage war against rival civilizations controlled by AI or other players. The goal is to earn the most Fame points, which are accumulated through various achievements over the course of history.

A key feature of Humankind is the ability to blend 60 different historical cultures into your civilization. Every time you advance to a new era, you choose a new culture to build upon your existing one, allowing you to create unique hybrid civilizations. There is also extensive customization through ideological tenets and technological progress.

Humankind features seven victory conditions, multiplayer support, mod support through Steam Workshop, and a narrative event system that generates context-specific choices and dilemmas. Reviews praise the innovative culture blending systems and customization options.
