Music can be recorded in real-time via a MIDI instrument or imported from an existing MIDI file. An audio track timelines allows users to import, record and edit audio alongside the musical score. Virtual instruments and effects plugins can be used to enhance the sound during playback.

Finished scores can be played back with full audio and MIDI rendering. Sheet music can also be printed, exported to PDF or graphic files, or shared online. Maian Music offers versions for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.
