A free, open source collection of UI design patterns and best practices for web and mobile platforms, featuring popular patterns for navigation, actions, inputs and more.
More Patterns is an open source collection of common user interface design patterns and best practices for the web and mobile apps. It aims to provide a practical resource for UI/UX designers and developers to reference and get inspiration from during the design process.
The collection includes over 60 patterns covering various UI components like navigation menus, calls-to-action, data inputs, empty states, overlays and more. Each pattern features clear explanations, best practice recommendations, examples from popular websites/apps for reference and code snippets to help with implementation.
More Patterns is built and maintained by Xavier Coulombe, a Canadian UI/UX designer and front-end developer. He started the project to share and spread knowledge on effective, intuitive user interface design with the community. The patterns are focused on promoting usability, consistency and accessibility across interfaces.
As an open source project, More Patterns welcomes contributions from the design and development community. Designers and developers can submit new patterns or enhance existing patterns through GitHub pull requests and issues. The goal is to collectively build an extensive, up-to-date pattern library for the community.
With its practical pattern collection and open source nature, More Patterns aims to be a helpful ongoing reference for user interface designers, product managers, developers and anyone involved in building user-friendly digital products and experiences.
