A free online music streaming service with millions of songs to stream, no ads required, developed by Samsung Electronics
Samsung Milk Music is a free online music streaming service originally developed by Samsung Electronics. It was launched in March 2014 exclusively for Galaxy devices as a competitor to other streaming services like Spotify, Pandora, and Google Play Music.
Milk Music provided users access to a large catalog of over 13 million songs by over 200,000 artists that could be streamed for free without ads. It had unique features like Milk Radio that allowed users to listen to genre-based radio stations tailored to their tastes.
The service had a simple, visually focused user interface that emphasized album artwork. Users could create custom stations based on artists, songs or genres, and the app would suggest recommendations tailored to the user's preferences.
By November 2015, Samsung decided to discontinue further development of Milk Music internationally. The service was finally shut down in the United States in September 2016, being superseded by Spotify as the default music player integrated into Samsung devices.
