What is Save Crate?

Save Crate is a subscription box service specializing in delivering crates of creative and educational toys for children. Founded in 2015 by a husband and wife team of educators and parents, Save Crate's mission is to spark kids' imagination and critical thinking through open-ended play.

Every 1, 2 or 3 months, Save Crate sends age-appropriate crates of toys tailored to children ages 0-12 years old. Each crate contains 5-7 toys focused on promoting skills like problem solving, STEM concepts, emotional intelligence and creativity. Toys are carefully curated by child development experts to align with key developmental milestones.

Save Crate offers flexible subscription plans ranging from month-to-month to yearly commitments, with the option to upgrade, downgrade or cancel anytime. Subscribers can choose a recurring plan or pre-pay to receive a discount. Gifting subscriptions is also available.

Beyond toys, Save Crate provides resources to help parents and kids get the most out of playtime. This includes learning activity ideas, explanations of the educational value of that month's toys, developmental information and tips for extending play.
