What is The Isle?

The Isle is an open-world multiplayer survival game developed by Afterthought LLC and released on Steam Early Access in 2015. Players take on the role of dinosaurs in a lush prehistoric landscape teeming with flora and fauna.

There are currently three playable dinosaur factions to choose from: herbibores, carnivores, and piscivores. Select a species such as the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex, the pack-hunting Utahraptor, or the armored Triceratops. Every dinosaur features a robust progression system where you start as a juvenile and grow into an adult through proper feeding and survival.

The Isle sets itself apart from other dino survival games with its emphasis on realism. Dinosaurs feature scientifically accurate models and environments are rich with detail. Survival means managing hunger, thirst, stamina, and health while competing with others for scarce resources. Herbivores will spend their days grazing and migrating while carnivores must hunt and scavenge for food. Players form loose packs with those of their own kind for hunting and protection.

With support for mods and consistent updates from the developers, The Isle offers a one-of-a-kind immersive dinosaur survival experience.
