Transistor Bass: Free Electric Bass Guitar Synthesizer

Realistic electric bass guitar sounds and customization options for digital audio workstations, all free.

What is Transistor Bass?

Transistor Bass is a free virtual instrument plugin that emulates the sound of an electric bass guitar. Developed by Audio Damage, it can be used in most major digital audio workstations as a VST, AU, or AAX plugin.

This bass synth is designed to provide warm, rich low-end tones comparable to high quality analog hardware synths and real bass guitars recorded with premium studio gear. It comes packed with a library of over 150 preset bass patches covering classic tones as well as modern synth bass sounds.

Users can easily customize the tone using controls for oscillator mixer, filter cutoff, resonance amount, envelope depth, and built-in distortion. The interface offers multi-waveform oscillators, a versatile multi-mode filter, modulation options like pitch or filter envelopes, and various effects including compression, bit crushing, and delay.

Ideal for producers, composers, and musicians, Transistor Bass makes it simple to program punchy bass lines with authentic vibes suitable for genres like hip hop, EDM, funk, pop, rock and more. Its natural dynamic response and customizable parameters result in electric bass sounds that can fit right into any production or performance.
