What is Wave Link?

Wave Link is an audio mixing software that was created by Elgato, a company known for making products for content creators and streamers. It integrates with other Elgato products but can also be used as a standalone audio mixer.

The main purpose of Wave Link is to give streamers and content creators more control over their audio sources. It lets you control the volumes of up to 8 input sources such as microphones, games, chat apps, music players, and more. You can adjust the levels for each input independently and even add VST plugins for effects like compression, EQ, and noise reduction.

Once you've dialed in your audio mix, Wave Link outputs it as a virtual audio device that you can select in your streaming software like OBS or XSplit. This allows you to send a fully mixed and optimized audio signal to your stream or recording software. You can create multiple mixes for different scenarios too.

In addition to adjusting audio volumes, Wave Link gives you a visual mixer with meters so you can monitor audio levels. You can rename inputs, solo tracks, and mute tracks as needed. Everything runs inside Wave Link so you don't have to juggle multiple windows.

While mainly designed for streaming and recording, Wave Link can be helpful for general audio mixing tasks. It gives you granular control over all your system sounds in a clean and visually intuitive interface.
