What is ZEVENET?
ZEVENET is an open-source load balancing and application delivery software designed to improve the performance, security, and reliability of applications and services. It functions as a reverse proxy between end users and backend servers to distribute network traffic.
As an application delivery controller, ZEVENET manages traffic to web servers and apps according to configurable rules and policies. It offers layer 4 and layer 7 load balancing with support for Direct Server Return. Features include:
- Load balancing algorithms like round robin, least connections, agent, etc.
- Health checks and auto scaling of backend servers
- SSL offloading and TLS encryption
- Caching and compression to optimize traffic
