What is Clicker Heroes?

Clicker Heroes is an incremental or idle game developed by Playsaurus where players repeatedly click on a monster to attack it, gain gold, and unlock new heroes. As the player progresses, they can upgrade their heroes to automatically attack the monsters at an increasing rate without needing to manually click. The overall goal is to reach higher levels and defeat stronger monsters, which is achieved through repetitive gameplay over long periods of time.

When beginning Clicker Heroes, the player starts by manually clicking on a monster to attack it. Each click delivers one point of damage. As the monster takes more damage, gold coins are dropped. The player collects the gold coins, which act as the main currency in the game. There is no cap on the amount of gold that can be collected.

The player can spend their gold coins to hire heroes, who will automatically attack the monster without needing manual clicks. There are over two dozen heroes available to unlock, each with their own attack styles and damage bonuses. Heroes can be leveled up for increased DPS (damage per second). The player must strategically choose which heroes to upgrade in order to efficiently progress.

Besides heroes, gold coins can also be spent on ancients and upgrades that boost DPS and gold earnings. Leveling up ancients grants passive damage bonuses and global effects. There are over 50 ancients to unlock. As progression continues at an exponential rate, the player reaches higher zones with tougher monsters and bosses, eventually reaching millions, billions, and trillions of levels.

With its simple core mechanic of repetitive clicking and multitude of heroes and upgrades to unlock, Clicker Heroes leverages the incremental gaming elements of big numbers and steady progress to deliver a long-term addictive gameplay experience.
