What is Corrupt Mayor Clicker?
Corrupt Mayor Clicker is a casual browser-based clicker game created as a political satire. You take on the role of a big city mayor who aims to embezzle as much money as possible through shady backdoor deals, while maintaining enough public approval to stay in office.
The game mechanics are simple - you click on the briefcase icon to generate cash through corrupt dealings behind the scenes. There is a multiplier that increases your earnings for each click. You then spend this illegally gained money on campaign helpers, lobbyists, offshore accounts and other upgrades that automatically generate more corrupt earnings over time, allowing you to click less. But each upgrade also reduces your popularity rating among the public.
The challenge is to balance your desire for amassing a huge personal fortune quickly from dirty money, against the risk of getting caught and losing the mayorship once your popularity drops too low. Random events can also suddenly increase or decrease popularity based on getting exposed in scandals or gaining public trust to conceal your activities.
The satirical comedy and irony comes from just how outrageously corrupt you can be to accumulate billions in wealth through shady means, while spinning your public image and barely managing to hold on to your political seat to continue the profitable criminal operations.
