DevDocs: Open Source Documentation Browser

Find and compare documentation for web APIs, programming languages, and frameworks in one place

What is DevDocs?

DevDocs is a free, offline-capable web documentation browser aimed at developers. It provides access to documentation for tons of programming languages, frameworks, and technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Go, PHP, C, C++, Django, React, Angular, jQuery, and many more.

Instead of having to search through dozens of documentation sites, DevDocs consolidates the content from hundreds of API and programming reference docs into one convenient interface where it can be quickly searched and referenced offline. This saves developers the hassle of navigating to different sites and searching through individual documentation pages.

DevDocs works right in the browser, no installation required. There are extensions available to integrate DevDocs with various code editors and IDEs including Visual Studio Code, Chrome, Atom, Sublime Text, and more. It is also available as a standalone desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The project is open source and hosted on GitHub.

One of DevDocs' most notable features is that all the documentation is available offline by downloading the documentation sets. This makes it a great tool for referencing APIs and language syntax on the go without an Internet connection. With its fast search, offline availability, and huge catalog of documentation, DevDocs is an invaluable tool for any developer's workflow.
