What is DrumComputer?

DrumComputer is a free, open-source software that functions as a drum machine, sequencer, and sampler. It is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

With DrumComputer, users can create and edit drum patterns and sequences using the built-in pattern editor. It comes equipped with a library of drum samples including kicks, snares, hi-hats, cymbals, electronic drums, and more. Users can also import their own samples to use in DrumComputer.

The interface features multiple drum tracks that allow for programming separate drum parts. Each drum track has controls for volume, pan, mute, solo, send effects, and more. There is a tempo control to set the global tempo as well as fine tempo control on each track.

DrumComputer has a collection of effects including reverb, delay, bitcrusher, distortion, filter, chorus, and more that can be applied to the drum tracks and patterns. Patterns can be arranged and sequenced in the built-in song sequencer mode.

As an open-source software, DrumComputer is completely free to download and use. Its source code is publicly available for extension and customization. DrumComputer supports exporting patterns and songs to audio, MIDI, or to its own custom file format. The software continues to be developed and improved by its community of developers and users.
