What is EasyList?

EasyList is an open-source, crowdsourced list that blocks ads, tracking and more unwanted content when used with an ad blocker. It was created in 2005 and is maintained by dozens of volunteers. The purpose of EasyList is to make the internet experience better by filtering out intrusive ads, while still allowing acceptable ads that follow better advertising standards.

EasyList is composed of filter lists that contain domains, links and other resources that serve ads, tracking scripts, malware and other bothersome content. When used with a compatible ad blocker, these filter lists will automatically block the content they contain, making for faster page loads, less clutter on pages, and better privacy as tracking scripts are disabled.
