ExpireBox: Manage Expiring Files on Windows, Mac and Linux
Free desktop app for tracking expiring files like photos, videos and documents to prevent data loss
What is ExpireBox?
ExpireBox is a free cross-platform desktop application available for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. It provides users with an easy way to manage files that have expiration dates set by various online services.
Many cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive etc. allow users to upload files that get deleted automatically after a set period of time. While this can be useful in some cases, it also means you risk permanently losing access to those files if you don't download or back them up before they expire.
This is where ExpireBox comes in. It lets you keep track of such expiring cloud files and get notified as their expiration date approaches. You can then choose to either download a permanent copy to your computer, back them up to another location, or re-upload them to the cloud service to extend the expiration date.
Some key features of ExpireBox include:
Auto-detect expiring files across multiple cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox etc.
Customizable notifications before files expire
Options to download, backup or re-upload the expiring files
A simple calendar view to see when your files will expire
Available completely free for Windows, Mac and Linux
Overall, ExpireBox is an easy-to-use and handy app to ensure you have copies of important expiring files before they get deleted from cloud services forever.
