In the settings, you choose your desired wake up time range, such as 6:30am - 7am, along with selecting the difficulty level, alarm tone, and brightness level. Gentle Wakeup will then start the wake up process randomly within that time window, gently easing you out of sleep with soothing music and light over the course of around 30 minutes. The app provides a variety of different natural alarm tones to choose from, like birds chirping, a babbling brook, piano music, etc. You can also set the lighting to simulate a sunrise with orange/yellow light slowly shifting to white.
