What is Hospital Tycoon?

Hospital Tycoon is a complex business simulation game focused on building and managing a hospital. Players start with an empty plot of land and must design, construct, and operate a functional hospital while balancing finances, patient health, employee needs, and growth.

In the beginning, players must strategize to create an efficient hospital layout and infrastructure including reception areas, offices, examination rooms, operating rooms, and patient wards. As the game progresses, players can expand into new wings and departments like a trauma center, research lab, radiology unit, and more.

The core gameplay revolves around treating various illnesses and injuries within budget by diagnosing patients' symptoms, prescribing medications and tests, performing surgeries and other treatments, and monitoring vitals. Players must hire doctors, nurses, technicians, janitors, and administrators, all with different specializations, salaries, and skill levels.

The game offers both a campaign and sandbox mode. In campaign, players must achieve specific goals and advances to more difficult levels by obtaining prestige points based on patient health, profitability, hospital efficiency, awards, and research advancement. Sandbox mode offers open-ended creative freedom.
