What is Two Point Hospital?

Two Point Hospital is a 2018 business simulation game developed by Two Point Studios and published by Sega. It is a spiritual successor to the 1997 game Theme Hospital.

In Two Point Hospital, the player takes on the role of hospital administrator. The goal is to build up a hospital from nothing into a thriving medical business by placing buildings, hiring staff, diagnosing illnesses, and treating patients. The game takes place in the fictional Two Point County which is filled with strange diseases that need curing.

Gameplay involves constructing different hospital departments, placing vital equipment like radiators and medicine cabinets, hiring doctors, nurses, assistants, receptionists and janitors. As patients enter the hospital, the player must build diagnosis rooms and treatment clinics to discover what is wrong with each patient and cure them. The better the hospital is run, the more money the player makes.

Two Point Hospital features quirky diseases such as Light Headedness where patients have lightbulbs for heads, as well as weird treatments like the De-Lux clinic which pummels patients back to health. The game also has a sandbox mode for those who just want to build hospitals for fun.

With its retro graphics, eccentric sense of humor and deep management simulation, Two Point Hospital modernizes the classic Theme Hospital formula. It challenges players to juggle hospital design, staff, patients and finances to create an efficient yet profitable healthcare operation.
