What is IProphet Synthesizer?

The iProphet Synthesizer plugin by Arturia is a virtual instrument that faithfully recreates the iconic sound of the classic Sequential Prophet analog synthesizers that were popular in the 1980s. It provides the recognizable punchy analog tones of the Prophet 5 as well as the gritty digital sounds of the Prophet VS in one versatile software instrument.

At the core of iProphet is an accurate component-level emulation of the distinctive Curtis analog filters and VCAs that give the Prophet synths their signature sound. The oscillators, envelopes, LFOs, and other synthesis elements are also modeled to capture the exact character of the original instruments. This allows iProphet to produce extremely authentic vintage synth tones, making it popular for retro synthwave, funk, pop, and more.

Beyond the faithful recreation of the Prophet 5 and VS, iProphet also adds modern features like effects, modulation options, arpeggiators, and polyphonic/unison modes to expand the creative possibilities. There is also a built-in librarian for easily organizing and finding presets. With a simple and intuitive interface, iProphet remains approachable and easy to program for vital vintage tones or all-new sounds.
