What is ISEM Synthesizer?

iSEM Synthesizer is a free virtual analog synthesizer plugin that emulates the classic Oberheim OB-X and OB-Xa synths from the 1970s and 80s. It was developed by Inspired Acoustics as part of their free Reaktor ensembles.

The synth has 2 main oscillators and 1 sub oscillator, with waveforms like sawtooth, pulse, triangle. It also has a 2-pole multimode filter with low pass, high pass, band pass, and notch modes, similar to the originals. There is also a 2nd 12dB/oct filter.

For modulation, iSEM comes equipped with 2 ADSR envelopes that you can assign to filter, amplitude, and more. There is also an arpeggiator and built-in effects like chorus, delay, reverb, and distortion.

With its intuitive layout inspired by the OB synths, iSEM makes it easy to recreate those classic fat and rich analog sounds. It's perfect for vintage electronic music, synthwave, retro soundtracks, and more. And since it runs in Reaktor Player, iSEM is completely free.
