KARDS is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed by 1939 Games and set in World War II. Players build decks and battle with over 900 historically accurate units from 6 major factions that participated in the war - USA, Britain, Germany, Japan, Italy and Soviet Union across 4 major theatres of operation - Eastern Front, Western Front, Pacific and North African Front.
The game features innovative and unique mechanics like Blitz, which allows you to take an extra action, and Headquarters, special cards that provide powerful ongoing effects and enable various playstyles and deck archetypes. At the same time, it also incorporates traditional elements of trading card games like different rarity levels of cards depicted by their portrait borders - Common (grey), Uncommon (green), Rare (blue) and Epic (purple).
Matches take place in a 1vs1 format and the goal is to destroy the opponent's HQ first. Players take turns playing units, using their abilities, and attacking to chip away at the enemy HQ's health pool of 30. The first player to reduce their opponent's HQ to 0 health wins.
