Lite-reader: Free and Open-Source RSS Feed Reader
A simple and clean interface for managing and organizing your RSS feeds and news articles, with a focus on speed and minimalism
What is Lite-reader?
Lite-reader is a free, open-source, and ad-free RSS/Atom feed reader for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Developed with speed, simplicity, and resource efficiency in mind, it provides a fast and clean interface to view, manage, and organize both small and extremely large feeds.
As an RSS reader, Lite-reader lets you subscribe to feeds from blogs, news sites, YouTube channels, podcasts, and more. It will automatically update with new articles and content from your subscribed feeds. You can view feed content in a combined view or per feed, search through posts, and archive older posts you've already read.
Designed to be lightweight and take up minimal system resources, Lite-reader is ideal for older computers. Despite the simplicity, it has all essential features expected from a feed reader - organizing feeds into categories, managing subscriptions, offline reading with local feed caching, keyboard shortcuts, feed autodiscovery, and more.
An open-source project actively developed on GitHub, Lite-reader is available at no cost without ads or spam. It respects user privacy by not collecting personal data. The intuitive interface and lack of clutter makes it easy to use for beginners and power users alike.
