Lord of Ultima: Free-to-Play Browser MMO Strategy Game

Lord of Ultima is a free-to-play, browser-based massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game set in the fantasy world of Ultima. Players build cities, raise armies, forge alliances and go to war against each other to try to dominate the land.

What is Lord of Ultima?

Lord of Ultima is a free-to-play, browser-based massively multiplayer online real-time strategy (MMORTS) game developed and published by Electronic Arts. It is set in the fantasy world of the Ultima series of role-playing games.

In Lord of Ultima, the player takes the role of a mighty lord trying to establish dominance over the land of Ultima. The core gameplay revolves around building up a thriving city, amassing resources, raising a powerful army, and waging war against other player lords and their cities.

Players start out with an undeveloped plot of land on which they can construct various buildings like farms, mines, barracks, walls, and keeps. These structures allow you to generate resources, train military units, and defend your city. Players must balance economic development with military might in order to succeed.

A major aspect of Lord of Ultima is forging alliances and political relationships with other lords. You can trade resources, coordinate attacks, provide mutual defense, or backstab alliance members when the time is right. The overworld map contains hundreds of cities run by both computer and human opponents.

Military combat in Lord of Ultima happens in real-time. When you send your army to attack an enemy city, you can watch the battle unfold and even direct some basic tactical maneuvers like targeting specific buildings or units. An element of randomness makes the outcomes unpredictable.

With its empire-building gameplay and massively multiplayer persistent world filled with diplomacy and warfare, Lord of Ultima delivers a compelling competitive experience within the iconic Ultima fantasy setting.
