The first game in the series, Empire Earth, was released in 2001 for Windows. Two expansions were released, Art of Conquest in 2002 and The Art of Supremacy in 2003.

The Empire Earth games revolve around building an empire across 14 different epochs of human history, from prehistoric times to the nano age of the future. As a player, you gather resources like food, wood, stone, iron, and gold in order to build cities, train military units, and advance your civilization through research and technology.

Key features of the Empire Earth games include:

  • Vast single player campaigns with historical and fictional scenarios
  • In-depth civilization customization through the unique Civ Builder system
  • Multiplayer supports up to 8 players for competitive and co-op matches
