What is Spring 1944?
Spring 1944 is a complex turn-based strategy war game focused on the later years of World War II on the Western Front. Players take control of either the Allied or Axis forces in 1944 as the Allies push into France after the D-Day invasions.
The game features a large variety of infantry, armor, air, and naval units players can utilize. Scenarios are based on historic battles and operations from the Normandy campaign, Market Garden, the Bulge, and more. The map stretches from northern France to Germany.
Gameplay is realistic with advanced logistical systems, rugged terrain, and changing weather patterns all factoring into each turn. Units gain experience over time, lose effectiveness when disrupted, and have historical stats and capabilities. There is also a customizable editor to create your own scenarios.
With four campaigns, dozens of scenarios, adversarial multiplayer, and huge replability with the scenario editor, Spring 1944 offers a very in-depth and realistic operational warfare simulation of WW2.
