What is Lost Ark?

Lost Ark is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG developed by Smilegate RPG and originally released in South Korea in 2019. It has since launched in Russia, Japan and the Americas/Europe.

The game features a huge open world with a top-down isometric point of view. There is a main overarching story questline as well as countless side quests and adventures to partake across many unique regions. Players can explore alone or in parties.

There is a roster of 15 different classes to choose from, each with their own unique mechanics and playstyles catered towards DPS, tanking or support roles. The combat is real-time and action-oriented, requiring quick reflexes and smart use of skills.

Other features include instanced dungeons and epic large-scale raids against giant boss monsters. There is also PvP content like arenas and battlegrounds. Character progression revolves around gear upgrades, skill runes, character stats and collectible cards that augment skills.

There are many endgame activities for max level players including Tower content that offers ascending challenges for valuable rewards, world bosses, sailing and player islands just to name a few.
