What is Mentimeter?
Mentimeter is an interactive presentation software used to engage and interact with audiences during presentations, meetings, lectures, and events. It allows presenters to create fun and engaging slides with different interactive elements like quizzes, polls, word clouds, Q&A features, rankings, and more.
The presenter creates an interactive presentation ahead of time in the Mentimeter website or apps. The slides are then shown to the audience during the presentation. Rather than passively listening, the audience uses their own mobile devices to actively participate by answering questions, voting in polls, contributing inputs to word clouds, and more. Their responses are collected by Mentimeter in real-time and shown on the presentation screen as infographics that update as more responses come in.
This allows for truly interactive sessions where both the presenter and the audience are actively engaged. The audience input gives presenters immediate feedback, insight and data visualizations that can steer the direction of the presentation. And the interactivity results in higher audience attention and retention of the content.
