What is Mr Jump?

Mr Jump is a free and open-source platform game originally created by indie game developer Matt Thorson in Game Maker. It was first released in 2004. The gameplay focuses on precise jump mechanics and fluid character movement through challenging platforming levels.

In each short level, the player controls a character simply named "Mr Jump" and must reach an exit door to complete the level, while avoiding various hazards and obstacles such as spikes, water, and enemies. Mr Jump can run, jump, and double jump through levels filled with moving platforms, ladders, springs, and other interactive objects.

The controls are simple, using the arrow keys or WASD for movement and jumping. But successfully guiding Mr Jump through the levels requires fast reflexes and split-second timing. There is no penalty for dying, as levels can be restarted instantly.
