Museuly: Digital Cataloguing Software for Art Galleries & Museums

A digital platform to manage and showcase artwork metadata, upload images, and create customizable online exhibits for museums and art galleries.

What is Museuly?

Museuly is digital cataloguing software designed specifically for museums and art galleries. It provides curators, registrars, and collection managers with a customizable online catalog to manage and showcase their art and artifact collections.

At the foundation of Museuly is artwork cataloguing. Users can upload detailed collection metadata into online forms and link this information to digital images. Rich artwork records can be created including descriptive fields like artist name, title, year of creation, medium, dimensions, provenance, credit lines, exhibition history, and more. This catalog data can be configured to match existing protocols and thesauri.

A key feature of Museuly is publishing art catalogues online in a visually engaging display. Users can showcase art and artifacts in online galleries, build custom layouts and templates, organize records using online exhibits, and even design custom catalogue layouts that mimic a printed publication. The responsive exhibit templates are customizable with logos, colors, fonts, and branding.

Other key features include API integrations with collection management systems, configurable user permissions levels, artwork loans and movement tracking, storage and linking of digital assets like images and PDFs, catalogue publishing and reporting tools, search and filtering of artwork records, and member/patron management and access settings.

Museuly aims to make online collection management affordable and user-friendly for galleries and museums. The software provides both cataloguing tools and online publishing capabilities to help institutions broaden access and engagement with collections.
