Terms of Service; Didn't Read (ToS;DR) is a free service created to help users understand the terms of service and privacy policies of websites and platforms they use. It was launched in 2012 by French entrepreneur Hugo Roy.

ToS;DR works by crowdsourcing plain language summaries of terms of service and privacy policies. Volunteers highlight the key points of these legal documents to explain what permissions a user gives to a service when they sign up. The summaries focus on topics like privacy, ownership of user data, copyright terms, etc.

ToS;DR provides these summaries through a website where users can search for services, a browser extension that inserts summaries alongside links to sites' terms pages, and an API for developers to integrate into their own projects.

The project has summarized the terms for over 500 major internet platforms and services like Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Instagram, Uber, Airbnb, and more. The goal is to make it easy for users to understand what they are agreeing to before signing up for an service.

ToS;DR is an open source, community-driven effort. Contributors can submit new summaries or edit existing ones through GitHub. The project is licensed under Creative Commons and does not run ads or collect user data.
