What is Xeropan?
Xeropan is a free, open-source raster graphics editor intended as an alternative to proprietary software like Adobe Photoshop. Developed by a community of volunteers, it contains powerful tools for editing and retouching photos, creating digital paintings, web design, and more.
For photo editing, Xeropan provides features like layers, masks, filters, levels and curves adjustments, cloning, healing brushes, liquify, perspective corrections, and panoramic image stitching. Its drawing tools include pencils, pens, erasers, shapes, gradients, text, and 3D functions. It can work with and convert between common image formats like JPG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, PSD, PDF, and RAW camera files.
While not quite as full-featured as Photoshop, Xeropan aims to provide an accessible alternative with professional-grade photo manipulation abilities. Its interface contains a number of improvements for usability and efficient workflows. Xeropan is customizable as well, supporting plugins that expand its native capabilities.
