What is Ylands?

Ylands is an open-world sandbox game developed and published by Bohemia Interactive. It features a procedurally generated world for players to explore and gather resources, with a focus on building, crafting, creativity, and user-generated content.

In Ylands, players start out with basic tools and must gather wood, stones, fibers, ores and other resources to craft structures, vehicles, weapons, furniture and more. An extensive crafting system with thousands of items allows everything in the game to be player-created. Players can also farm crops, raise animals, cook food or brew potions.

One of the key features is the ability to create your own games, mini-games, adventures and custom worlds through Ylands' Game Creator tools. Players can place their own objectives, set rules, customize the environment, and build entire new worlds for others to play in. The creation tools are intuitive yet powerful.

Ylands offers multiplayer servers for playing with others as well as single player modes. While still in early access development, it shows promise as a creative sandbox with rich systems for gathering, building, crafting, farming, and user-generated content creation.
