What is Autolib'?

Autolib' is an electric car sharing service launched in Paris, France in 2011. It operates a fleet of all-electric Bluecar vehicles that members can rent for short trips within Paris and over 100 municipalities in the surrounding Île-de-France region.

To use Autolib', you first need to become a member by signing up on their website or app. There are several membership options available depending on your usage needs. As a member, you can locate and reserve an available Bluecar through the app or rental kiosks scattered around the service area.

Vehicles can be rented for periods as short as 30 minutes up to several hours. Autolib' charges a nominal yearly subscription fee plus incremental hourly rental fees based on the duration of each trip. It's designed for point-to-point urban trips vs. round trips. After arriving at your destination, you simply park and plug the EV into a designated charging station.

As of 2022, the service maintains a fleet of over 5,000 Bluecars and has over 155,000 charging points available for drivers. A key benefit Autolib' provides is sustainable urban mobility through shared electric vehicles.
