Using an isometric perspective, Baldur's Gate allows players to control a party of up to six characters in pausable real-time combat. The game features a rich story with hundreds of quests to complete and locations to explore. Character creation and development are core parts of the experience, allowing players to create a unique hero and guide their progression in skills and abilities over the course of the 60+ hour adventure.
