Free and open-source graphical frontend for FFmpeg, allowing easy media file conversions, video editing, and encoding options tweaking through an intuitive interface.
FFmpegYAG is a free, open-source, and cross-platform graphical frontend and GUI for the popular FFmpeg media handling utilities. It provides an intuitive graphical interface and workflow to access many of the advanced functions and capabilities of FFmpeg without needing to use the command line.
With FFmpegYAG, users can easily convert their media files between a wide range of formats, crop/pad/resize video frames, extract and manipulate audio tracks, adjust encoding parameters like bitrates or codec choices, apply various filters and effects, and much more. Its workflow is organized around conversion jobs where source files are added and target output formats are specified.
It features preset profiles for common device targets like mobile phones, media players, and web video standards. Advanced users can customize these presets or specify their own exact encoding parameters. The interface also allows inspecting detailed metadata about media files.
As it wraps the capabilities of FFmpeg, FFmpegYAG can handle conversion of media files like AVI, MKV, MP4, FLV, MOV, WMV, MP3, and many more. Its graphical approach and templating makes accessing FFmpeg's capabilities more intuitive for non-expert users. And its cross-platform compatibility allows it to run on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.
