What is Gecata?
Gecata is an open-source, self-hosted project management and task tracking application similar to Asana. It allows users to create projects, break down work into tasks with descriptions, assignees, tags, comments, attachments, due dates and more.
Some key features of Gecata include:
- Kanban boards to visualize work and track progress
- Tasks with priority levels, start/due dates, time tracking, checklists
- Projects to group related tasks and boards together
- Dashboard to see my tasks, calendar, activity feed
- Notifications when assigned tasks, due dates, comments
- Mobile apps for Android and iOS
- Analytics to track productivity over time
- Integrations with other tools like email, Slack, GitHub
As an open source tool, Gecata allows users to download and host on their own servers for free rather than paying a monthly fee like Asana. This allows better customization and data ownership. The tradeoffs are that self-hosted options require more technical skills to manage. But for many teams, Gecata provides a flexible Asana alternative without recurring costs or vendor lock-in.
MSI Afterburner, Bandicam, OBS Studio, Kazam, FPS Monitor, ScreenRec, VokoscreenNG, SimpleScreenRecorder, CamStudio, ActivePresenter, Xbox Game Bar, Action!, Count It, GLXOSD, Peek GIF Screen Recorder, RePlays, Plays.tv are some alternatives to Gecata.
