What is GL TRON?

GL TRON is an open-source, multiplatform lightcycle game inspired by the classic arcade game and the TRON movies. In GL TRON, players control lightcycles and compete against AI or human opponents in enclosed arenas.

The goal is to force opponents to crash into the trail left behind by your lightcycle. Players use the keyboard or gamepad to turn their lightcycle and try to box their opponents in. The last player still moving wins the round.

GL TRON features both single player and multiplayer modes. In single player, you take on increasingly difficult AI opponents. In multiplayer, up to 4 people can play locally or online and compete to be the last lightcycle riding.

GL TRON features colorful vector graphics, electronic music, and smooth gameplay. It runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and more. The open-source code allows enthusiasts to modify and add community-made features as well.
