GPRename is a free and open source batch file renaming application for Windows. It provides an intuitive graphical interface to rename multiple files and folders simultaneously.
With GPRename, you can:
- Rename files/folders using enumeration (incremental numbering)
- Change case - convert names to uppercase, lowercase, titlecase etc.
- Find and replace text in names via regular expressions
- Add/remove prefixes and/or suffixes from names
- Strip parts of filenames (base name, extension)
- Rename using EXIF date from images and ID3 tags from music files
- Undock the interface to keep it accessible while working
- Preview changes before applying them
- Undo changes if something goes wrong
- Process an entire folder structure in one go using recursive renaming
GPRename is light-weight, easy to use and does not require any installation. It works great for organizing digital photo/music collections, renaming TV show episode files, refactoring code & files, and other batch renaming tasks.
