What is IconArchive?
IconArchive is a free icon library and search engine that provides access to a collection of over 420,000 icons in PNG, SVG, font and other formats. Developers, designers and bloggers can browse and download icons for use in websites, mobile apps, presentations and other projects.
The website has an intuitive search function that allows searching by keyword or browsing by category. Over 60 categories are available including business, chat, files, weather and social media. Icons can also be searched for by color, style or popularity.
Each icon preview shows the icon in multiple sizes and formats. After clicking on an icon, the available downloadable formats are displayed. This includes PNG (with transparency), SVG and icon fonts. Multiple sizes, from 16px up to 1024px, are available for most icons.
The icon library is frequently updated with new icon packs across different categories. In addition, users can request missing icons which are then created and added. Each icon shows metadata including the iconset it belongs to, the date it was added and any tags that describe it.
By providing a vast collection of free icons, IconArchive makes it easy for developers and designers to find icons to use in their projects and save the effort of creating icons from scratch.
