What is J&J Official 7 Minute Workout?

The J&J Official 7 Minute Workout is a free mobile app that provides a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that can be completed in just 7 minutes. It was developed by Johnson & Johnson in partnership with leading exercise physiologists and scientists to deliver an efficient, simple, and effective workout.

The workout features 12 exercises that target multiple muscle groups. Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of rest. The exercises include squats, wall sit, push-ups, crunches, step-ups, lunges, planks, high knees running in place, triceps dips using a chair, arm circles, shoulder press, and side plank. Minimal equipment is required.

By working different muscle groups with little rest between exercises, the 7 minute workout provides cardiovascular benefits while improving strength and endurance. The variability keeps heart rate up and challenges different energy systems. The app provides verbal cues, images, and timers for each move so users can easily follow along.

Studies funded by Johnson & Johnson found the 7 minute workout provided aerobic benefits comparable to longer workouts. Just a few minutes a day is enough to improve cardiovascular health, build lean muscle, and burn calories.
