What is JAWS?

JAWS (Job Access With Speech) is a popular screen reader software developed by Freedom Scientific for computer users who are blind or have low vision. First released in 1989, JAWS has become one of the most widely used screen readers world-wide.

JAWS provides text-to-speech functionality that reads aloud text on the computer screen like documents, web pages, and user interface elements.
