What is Marvel:Avengers Alliance?
Marvel: Avengers Alliance is a free-to-play online role-playing game developed by Playdom and released on Facebook in 2012. The game allows players to recruit many of Marvel's popular superheroes and supervillains to their team and send them on various missions against enemies such as Hydra, A.I.M., and The Hand.
Gameplay revolves around turn-based combat, with each hero and villain having their own unique attacks and abilities. As you play, your characters gain experience levels and new skills. You can also collect costumes, artifacts, and additional heroes. The game features the voices and artwork of many actors and artists who have worked on Marvel comic books and movies.
One of the defining features of Marvel: Avengers Alliance is its ever-expanding universe with frequent content updates. There are challenge modes, player vs player tournaments, and a gripping storyline that has unfolded episodically introducing new enemies and famous story arcs from the comics. While the game shut down in 2016, it maintained a dedicated player base throughout its four years of activity thanks to the lore and characters from the Marvel universe.
