nds4droid was a Nintendo DS emulator for Android devices that allowed users to play Nintendo DS games. It is no longer in active development and has been discontinued.
nds4droid was a Nintendo DS emulator app that was available on the Google Play store until around 2013. It allowed Android device owners to emulate Nintendo's dual-screen handheld gaming console and play many commercial NDSTM game titles.
The app provided good performance and accuracy in mimicking the Nintendo DS hardware. It worked well for many 2D DS games though struggled with some more intensive 3D titles. There were also tools for screen configuration and controller customization.
nds4droid was free to download but required users to provide their own Nintendo DS BIOS files. While popular in its heyday, the app has since been removed from app stores and is no longer under active development or support. The source code remains available but there are no further updates planned.
For Nintendo DS emulation on Android, RetroArch or other emulators like DraStic are recommended as alternatives. These are actively maintained, offer improved compatibility, and are available on the Google Play Store.
