Noitu Love is an open-source 2D arcade-style action game developed by Joakim Sandberg and released in 2006. It features pixel art graphics and a chiptune soundtrack.
The player controls a metallic protagonist named Rilo as he battles enemies and bosses across levels themed around different environments like cities, forests, and bases. Rilo has a gun and melee attack he can use, and can find upgrades in levels to improve his firepower.
A major focus of Noitu Love is intense and challenging boss battles. Bosses have complex patterns of attacks the player must learn and avoid. There is also an equipment system where Rilo can equip powerups dropped by enemies, like shields, increased speed and health, and better weapons.
