Space survival sandbox game set in 2078, featuring resource gathering, crafting, building, shelter construction, day/night cycles, weather systems, and hostile alien creatures
Osiris: New Dawn is an open world space survival game developed and published by Fenix Fire Entertainment. It was released in 2016 through early access on Steam. The game is set in the year 2078 when a catastrophic event causes your spacecraft to crash land on the alien planet Osiris.
On this dangerous new world filled with extremes of hot and cold, light and dark, you take on the role of an astronaut who must learn to survive on a landscape that includes lava flows, snow covered mountains, lush jungles and more. Resources are scarce, and you'll need to master skills like mining, farming, crafting weapons, building bases with electricity and life support systems, and exploring the world in custom vehicles to uncover artifacts and unlock pieces of the puzzle about what happened in this distant portion of space.
Osiris features a fully dynamic time of day and weather system that impacts the environment and gameplay. The planet and its atmosphere go through radical shifts as day turns to night, during electrical storms, and even meteor showers that can threaten you and your base. Deadly lifeforms also come out more frequently in the dark. The game can be played solo or with friends cooperatively as you support one another in building more advanced structures and technology to ultimately try and find a way to escape the alien world.
